This holiday has brought on a feeling of urgency that I don't believe I have ever felt before. The recent events in Haiti have stirred emotions which really shouldn't be ignored. This country has been so blessed and each of us should dig deep into what we have, be it large or small, and give to a nation that has nothing. I have been to Haiti on mission work and can describe first hand what conditions those people lived in prior to the earthquake. These people are simple, loving and need our help.
Many of those people need God but before they can understand how wonderful our God is, they must have food, water and medical care. Basic needs must be met first or a God as big as ours can't be understood. This is the time for all of us to do all we can, now. Give a dollar, give a thousand. Just give. The Red Cross, Crossworld and many others can make your donation count.
I am sure there are orphans who will need someone. Adopt one, maybe two. It's time to make a difference to so many who have so little. If you can't give then Pray. Pray for a complete change of government. Pray for the whole world to step in and help this country. I believe God is going to work miracles and we have seen already he has.
